I bought this digital picture frame as a gift for my wife because I knew she could like the brown and blue design on it. And the aesthetic design is by far the best feature of this item. The rest of the frame is pretty mediocre. Caused by the low resolution, pictures look quite pixelated if viewed from any closer than some feet away. As well, when I formated some number of pictures to the advertized resolution of 480×234, I noticed that there were black spaces on the top and bottom. Using the 16:9 part percentage, I afterward tried formating pictures to 480×270, which removed the problem. A last note on resolution: most cameras take photos with an part percentage of 4:3, which means that pictures must be heavily cropped or stretched to fit properly on this display. Many of the pictures I had were not suited because the target image could be too cropped to look correct on the widescreen frame. And pictures that were taken in a portrait tall mode could appear small on the frame with big black bars on the sides. Although with many effort you may be able to compose two portrait pictures side by side with resolutions of 240×270 each.
Other issues that I noted with this item:
The frame works good with a USB drive or with an SD card, but does not have the capabilty of being directly connected to a PC via USB, so a card reader is needed when using an SD card. Most USB drives will stick out beyond the edge of the frame and most likely are not a great solution.
There’s no light control. I could favor to have a little less backlight, but no modification is available.
The frame doesn’t do any kind of randomization when cycling through pictures, it generally goes through the same order. This may be desirable, like to show a timeline, but I could rather have the choice to randomly go through the pictures.
There are various transitions to chose from including random. Most of them are nice effects.
In summary, this product is just good if you’re mainly picking it for the look of the outer frame. If you could like a high quality way to display your pictures, there are better choices out there, particularly if you could rather not have a widescreen display.

I bought this for my girlfriend last Christmas and included an SD memory card preloaded with pictures. It hasn’t been unplugged since which cured many of my fears of longevity. As one of the other reviews mentions, there’s an issue with part ratios. But, the only pictures that I have had difficulties with are those that are taken in vertical orientations. The vast most of my horizontal pictures fill the complete screen and are comparatively clear. I could appreciate the presence of an on/off switch but it isn’t a deal breaker. Over all, it’s a “cute” product and most girls will most likely appreciate it just for that fact. A bit more stylish than most of the digital pic frames on the market. But, there are better ones out there.

While this frame does show your pictures and is pretty, it lacks the alternatives that many other frames give you, leaving it somewhat lackluster. On occasion it skips pictures with no explanation, and isn’t almost as nice as I projected.
For the price, I’d pick something else next time.
